Want to work Work With Us?

Rotary can be what ever you want it to be

Here’s How

  • Social

At the end of another piece of project work there is always time to socialise and enjoy what has been achieved.

Participating in the varied projects is a great way to enjoy the company of others and there is also the chance to do so in the regular social events.

There is plenty of opportunity for you to choose your level of participation.

  • Dream It

It all begins with an idea.

Maybe you want to make a difference and plant a forest. Maybe you want to build a pathway for all to use. Maybe you want to recognise the achievements of primary school students or maybe you want to help young men and women develop their life skills.

All these plus many more have started as ideas that through members of Rotary have made a difference in the community.

It can be your dream that becomes something sensational and valued by all.

  • Learn and Grow

Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn is a n apt description of how Rotary works.

Most Rotary meetings have a speaker on topics as diverse as how magnetic resonance imaging works to perhaps how parliament and the law works. With questions encouraged there are plenty of opportunities expand your knowledge.

Self development is also also provided for within the club as well as participation in programs and projects in the wider Rotary organization.

Again you choose your level of participation and involvement.

  • Legacy Projects

Over the years Plimmerton Rotary has undertaken projects designed to be enjoyed by many for generations. Among these are a skate board park, the Te Ara Piko Pathway and a Peace and Remembrance Forest. These are legacy projects undertaken by many Rotarians who bring wide ranging skills and experience to the not inconsequential tasks involved.

If you are interested you to can contribute in your own way to the new legacy projects currently being planned.

  • Beyond New Zealand

Rotary is a international organisation with clubs in many countries in the world.

There are a number of ways individuals can contribute to Rotary work beyond New Zealand.

Some examples of where Plimmerton Rotarians have done this are rebuilding school classrooms in Fiji and helping the polio eradication program administer vaccines in India.
