Garden Tour 2025 1-2 November 2025 *
OUTLINE - PLIMMERTON ROTARY GARDEN TOUR - 1 and 2 NOVEMBER 2025.
Join us for a Springtime treat- a tour of ten gardens around the Pauatahanui Harbour.
The gardens are varied, from bijou suburban hideaways to a lifestyle block, and from an 1860s cottage garden to a modern design gem. They are testaments to the care and creativity of their owners.
Included is the iconic Heritage Rose Garden beside St Alban’s church in Pauatahanui, which features legacy and modern rose varieties around the burial ground.
Gardeners will be inspired by the experience - it will be an unforgettable day out.
Tickets - Tickets are $20 per person for a weekend pass plus an administration fee of $2.75, with children under 15 years free but must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets will be available online from 10 September. Ticketing instructions will be posted on www.plimmertonrotary.org.nz. For updates refer to the web site and Facebook – Rotary Club of Plimmerton.
Times - Gardens are open from 9.30am to 4.30 pm on both days except for the Pauatahanui Rose Garden/Burial Ground which will be closed on Sunday morning until 1 pm.
Garden competition – A prize voted for by entrants for the “Best Garden” for Consultancy Services, has been offered by Distinctive Home and Landscapes Limited to the value of $600. Other spot prizes will be drawn at the end of the tour and successful entrants notified by email.
Ticket holders:
remember to bring your ticket either hard copy or electronic copy to register for admission to the gardens. Ticket numbers are limited so be in early to be assured of a ticket.
note that when ticketing, select the Zone to start at: Camborne; Paremata/Aotea; Whitby; or Pauatahanui.
preplan your garden tour from the map provided when tickets are issued and have the plan available on the day.
note that every effort is made to ensure gardens’ are as safe as practicable. All gardens are entered at visitors’ risk.
take special care at gardens with steps and sloping pathways.
must obtain garden owners consent if you wish to take cuttings.
note public toilets are marked on the map that shows the garden locations, Food and refreshments are available from commercial premises at various locations near the tour routes.
note that the event will occur wet or fine, pets are not allowed and no ticket refunds will be available.
